Hum. On one hand, I am trying to be clear that I don’t want product leaders to wait until the next Quarterly Product Management meeting to make a decision about what to do, or not. On the other hand, I do want there to be a fast exchange of ideas and insight, and the occasional debate. There are some A/B test results at Netflix, for instance, where there was lots of customer delight, but negative margin and the product leader facilitated a discussion during the meeting and decided to move forward with the launch of a new feature. So, not a d-making meeting, but the meeting should enable fast-paced discussion and debate and an occasional in the moment decision.
